So maybe I overreacted just a tad

Update on the mind-wandering anxiety:

My blood pressure, while still higher than usual, is not in the hypertension/preeclampsia range anymore.  My scale is out of whack, apparently, as I gained only 3 pounds in 10 days, not 5 pounds in a week. And to top it off, my fundal length increased from 22 cm to 25 cm in 10 days.  My doctor was amazed; he figures that this growth spurt spawned the temporary hypertension, as it may have been causing some stress on my body.  He wants to see me in a week to make sure that everything goes back to normal.  Oh joy: sitting in the doctor's office for another 2 hours while trying to entertain the dude with the scant-rancid waiting-room toys.

So to summarize:

  1. Not dying

  2. Not hypertensive

  3. Baby growing

  4. No stretch marks

  5. Matthew was still tasty

  6. If you have no friggin idea who Matthew is, go back and read this.

  1. I am so happy your not dying! It so easy to overact when pregnant, I can relate! I cracked up when I got to # 5. Still can stop the wondering brain.

  2. No stretch marks???

I don't know whether to cheer for you or curse at ya.

Glad to know you're not dying though.

  3. Pregnancy-induced hypertension can be a bitch! I had it with both pregnancies and it's no fun! I'm glad you don't have it and the doctor's explanation sounds about right. Also? Take any cold medicine? It will do the same thing in the BP area. Blech.

    Doing great!

  5. Yikes! I would freak too. I had to go back & catch up. I had pre-eclampsia late in my pregnancy and gained 12 pounds in 1 week! Sucked, sucked, sucked.

  7. Yay for not dying! I had my funeral planned every time I got a fever with Arlo (and that was a lot).
